The Canadian Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (CEMRA) presented their Person of the Year Award to Claudia Day of Alcan Cable, at the 2008 Electro Federation Canada Supply & Distribution Conference on June 6, 2008 in Victoria B.C.  

The award was presented to Ms. Day by Mr. Terry Cooper of Brockway Enterprises on behalf of CEMRA.  

Ms. Day first started working with Manufacturers’ Reps in 2003 and says “The Manufacturers’ Reps who make up the sales team at Alcan Cable all belong to the CEMRA organization.  They are a professional group of men and women who know their territory, have strong relationships within their markets, and are able to translate market conditions, politics, relationships and opportunities into action (and orders) and contribute to the success of the industry.  I count on them to ensure that plans we develop and actions we take result in the greatest benefit for the greatest number of people.”

Ms. Day was formerly the Canadian National Sales Manager for Alcan Cable before her recent July 1, 2008 promotion to Director of Sales & Marketing, Rod, Strip and Export.  She has worked for Alcan Cable in various roles for nearly 29 years. 

The Canadian Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association is the associate organization of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association (NEMRA) in the U.S.  A division of the Canadian Electro-Federation Supply & Distribution Council, CEMRA is a trade association of independent sales representatives in the electrical industry.
