As the average size of single-family housing increases, so does the need for greater energy capacity. As a result, Alcan is leading the industry by introducing Service Entrance Style R (SER) 250 kcmil and 300 kcmil feeder sizes as standard product offerings.

"We identified a need in the market and developed cable sizes suitable for 225 and 250 amp applications well beyond the standard 200 amp product offered in the industry today," said Ravi Ganatra, Marketing Manager - Field Applications.

The addition of tristriping on three-striped phase conductors is an improvement to our existing phase identification feature. The benefit of the tristripe is improved visibility of the phase conductors while still maintaining the exceptional sunlight-resistant properties of the black, cross-linked polyethylene insulation. In addition, customized technology complements Alcan's on-going effort to use and produce environmentally friendly materials. Tristriping is available on all Alcan SE cable products.

All STABILOY® products have sequential footage marking which ensures measurement accuracy to guarantee only what is required is achieved -- no more, no less. "In addition, the entire STABILOY® product line exceeds requirements of applicable ASTM and UL Standards, as well as the National Electrical Code," stated Ravi Ganatra.
