Alcan Cable Raises Prices on Utility Products
Atlanta, Georgia 1/13/2004
As the new year begins, our industry has been faced with substantial financial pressure due to continued increases in the cost of metal and raw materials. These increases have significantly impacted our business, resulting in a decision to increase prices on our Utility products.
Effective January 15, 2004 Alcan Cable is changing the discount levels, which will result in an overall price increase of approximately 7% on most Bare and Service products. The list price sheets will remain unchanged. A new discount sheet has been issued, please contact your Alcan Representative for details.
Beginning January 15, 2004, all orders will be priced at the new level without exception.
It should be noted that these increases only represent a portion of the increased costs. As the year progresses, we will conduct regular reviews of pricing and make adjustments as needed. Should you have any questions regarding this announcement, please contact your local Alcan Sales Representative
In addition, Alcan is introducing a Blanket Contract Policy that will be applicable to all customers with long-term, blanket agreements. A copy of the policy is available below.
