Alcan Cable will be increasing STABILOY® MC Cable prices effective Monday, February 21, 2005. The 15% price increase will be realized through adjustments in both list prices and discount levels. In addition, STABILOY® MC Cable discounts will be calculated using a straight discount multiplier instead of the traditional chaining 5's method.

In summary, the changes that will take effect on February 21, 2005 are:

• A 15% selling price increase resulting from a change in both list prices and discounts.
• Discounts on STABILOY® MC Cable will be calculated using a straight multiplier.

As you are aware, we are faced with significant increases in metal and raw material costs, which has made this increase necessary.
