Alcan Cable's Aluminum Conductor Trapezoidal Wire Steel Reinforced (ACSR/TW) cable can be used with the same aluminum area as a standard round wire ACSR conductor, providing a smaller overall conductor diameter resulting in lower wind and ice loads while maintaining the same ampacity. It can also be used with the same overall diameter as a standard round wire ACSR conductor, providing up to 20% more ampacity.
