Alcan Cable is Recognized by Portland General Electric for its Emergency Response Efforts

  2/11/2009

Alcan Cable recently received a letter of recognition from Portland General Electric, Oregon’s largest utility serving a customer base of 1.5 million people, for its assistance during the December record breaking winter storm.  As a long standing supplier to PGE, Alcan Cable customer service, sales, operations, shipping and manufacturing personnel were able to manufacture and deliver the electrical conductor required to support PGE’s power restoration efforts.

“Effectively communicating and coordinating our teams demonstrates the strength of the strategic alliance between Alcan Cable and PGE during this emergency situation,” said Steve Waller, Director of Utility Sales, North America. “The close working relationship between our two companies helped PGE to successfully restore power to its customers.”
